Headboard Inspiration

I'm thinking of making an upholstered headboard - our bedroom needs a fresh look!  So many decisions, though - simple rectangle or notched edges?  Solid or print?  Velvet or linen?  Matching or coordinating bedskirt?  Nailhead trim - check... but one row or two?  Individual upholstery nails or nailhead trim kit?
